Got an issue with my 59 plate Audi A4, the passenger side door doesn't unlock using the handle on the outside, it does using the internal door handle - well sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't - any ideas what could be causing this or how to fix? Once the door has been opened from the inside, the outside handle will then. The car is a MY07 and basically if I unlock with the remote OR the key, then the passenger door will not open from the outside. Both handles have resistance but its just as if the cables are pulling the mech far enough to pop it open. All doors lock fine with central locking but the rear left door wont open unless you open it from inside the car. Getting an Audi Q5 delivered soon so this will just be a. Mine took about 4 goes! Awesome! My front passenger door on my A3 wouldn't open from the outside, didn't feel any re-engage so didn't have much hope but tried it and it worked first time :) It is common that the door lock sensor/switch push pin is worn so that there is no contact between the lock and the push pin on the switch.

The only way to open it is to lean over and use the internal handle on the passenger door. Any body shops recommended in Toronto to get this looked at? I just need the door to unlock don't really care about paint since it's a beater car.

Then with you palm, wack the inside end of the door, this sometimes releases it and connects with the handle.
